Email spam checker for cold emails

Paste your email. The checker highlights spam trigger words, links, shouting and hard-to-read sentences, and scores it as you type. It runs in your browser — nothing you paste leaves this page unless you ask the AI to rewrite it.

Spam trigger words list

These are the phrases the checker looks for, grouped by why they hurt. None is banned outright — filters weigh many signals — but each makes an email read more like a promotion. The "salesy clichés" group won't trip a filter; it just loses the reader.

What actually decides spam vs inbox

Wording is the part you can see, so it gets the blame. In practice the big levers sit elsewhere:

  • Authentication. SPF, DKIM and DMARC records tell receiving servers your mail is really from you. Since 2024, Google and Yahoo require them for bulk senders.
  • Reputation. A brand-new domain sending hundreds of emails on day one looks like a spammer. Many teams send outreach from a separate, aged domain and ramp volume slowly.
  • Engagement and complaints. Replies help; spam reports hurt a lot. Google's guidance asks bulk senders to keep reported spam below 0.3%.
  • List quality. Bounces from bad addresses damage reputation. Verify addresses before sending.

Then make the copy read like one person writing to another: short, specific, no links on the first touch, one small question at the end. The cold email guide walks through each part.

Questions people ask

Can a spam checker guarantee my email reaches the inbox?

No tool can. Gmail, Outlook and others decide mostly on sender reputation and authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), how recipients engage with your mail, and sending volume. Wording matters at the margins — this checker catches the copy problems you control.

What are spam trigger words?

Words and phrases common in promotional or scam email — "free", "guaranteed", "act now", "click here", "risk-free". A single one rarely sinks an email on its own, but a cluster makes a message read like marketing to filters and to people.

Why does the checker flag links?

Links in a first cold email, especially shortened or click-tracked links, are a common filtering signal and add little. Many teams send the first touch with no links and share resources after a reply.

Is my email text uploaded anywhere?

No. The spam checker runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste on this page is sent to a server.

How do I improve deliverability beyond wording?

Authenticate your domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC; send from a domain with some history; keep daily volume modest and ramp slowly; clean your list so you rarely bounce; and include a clear way to opt out. Google and Yahoo published bulk-sender requirements in 2024 covering authentication, easy unsubscribe and low spam-complaint rates.
